And, one thing about security is that, it is cash based. They will provide for themselves the means to which to protect themselves. The Nigeria Police is supposed to mingle and have the confidence of the Nigerian people.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“But, the moment it becomes the agent of the other party, then you are no longer the Nigerian Police. You automatically lose that title. You are coming into a situation where the right thing must be done according to social justice; the absence of it is what breeds crime and resistance.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“The only thing we ask you is social justice. If you ask any of the commissioners of police who served in Rivers State, I have never requested for favours because I don’t have the need for it. We believe in law and order. But, when you don’t keep law and order, what you are inviting and get is resistance.”<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“If you keep to social justice, believe me, you will be the friend of everybody. The Rivers State Government will continue to support you once that is kept. God forbid it, I have been troubled ever since the news. How could we have coped with the little resources of the state? They are not qualified for either reinstatement or recall from the reserve list.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“It has been brought to the knowledge of Arewa Consultative Forum that the Federal Government has authorised the reinstatement of 10,000 retired soldiers back into the Nigeria Army. This, in the wisdom of government, is to boost the strength of the military to confront the insurgency that has engulfed the country.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“ACF welcomes this development, however, it wishes to caution the authorities responsible for the reinstatement to scrutinise the retired soldiers thoroughly and ensure that only persons qualified in accordance with military regulations are recalled. The only other persons on the list were the President’s aides, security personnel and journalists.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“The APC and others who rushed to condemn President Jonathan for a non-existent indiscretion would have found, if they took the least trouble to double-check, that there was absolutely no factual basis for their accusation.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“Those who associate with Senator Sheriff know that he has longstanding interests in Chad and often spends a lot of his time there. He happened to be in Ndjamena at the time of President Jonathan’s visit and joined other Nigerian residents of the Chadian capital in coming to the airport to welcome their President.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“That was the full extent of his participation in the visit and it was also at Ndjamena Airport that the pictures which formed the basis of the bogus allegation of President Jonathan hobnobbing with an “accused sponsor of terrorism” were taken.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“The former Governor’s presence in Chad was certainly not at President Jonathan’s instance and he did not participate in any of the President’s discussions with President Idriss Deby or his other engagements in Ndjamena.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“President Jonathan is fully aware of the allegation made against Senator Sheriff by Stephen Davis. MEND informed that the planned attacks are necessitated by the continued failure of Judges in the section of the court to sign letters of administration of its deceased members family years after it has been approved. Justice Ayotunde Adeyoola Phillips taking her Oath of Office during her swearing-in as the Chief Judge of Lagos by the Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola.</p><br /><p>Justice Ayotunde Adeyoola Phillips taking her Oath of Office during her swearing-in as the Chief Judge of Lagos by the Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola.</p><br /><p>The group stated that it will begin to target and kill judges in the court’s division if they do not take the necessary step to sign its members letters of administration which has been lying on their desk for months.</p><br /><p>MEND accused judges in the section of been lazy and corrupt having demand bribe from its members severally before the letters of administration could be signed.</p><br /><p>The group said that as a result of the inhuman and wicked attitude of the probate judges, so many beneficiaries have lost their lives while the children of the deceased have been chased out of schools for lack of funds and some have gone into various crimes just to survive.</p><br /><p>“For over two years a good number of our members have been processing the Letters of Administration of their deceased families.</p><br /><p>“All they keep hearing is “Come tomorrow,” as a result of this inhuman and wicked attitude of the probate judges who refused to sign the letters lying dormant in their offices, so many beneficiaries lost their lives this year, the children of the deceased have been chased out of schools for lack of funds and some have gone into various crimes just to survive.</p><br /><p>“A number of times the judges collected bribes from them but still refused to sign the letters.</p><br /><p>“We can no longer condone this wickedness of the highest order, this is the reason we are writing all Authorities of the Lagos State Government and Judiciary to intervene or else we would be forced to launch series of attacks on these corrupt judges and their families. We know their houses as well as their modus operandi,” the group warned.</p><br /><p>MEND however opined that urgent intervention of the Lagos State Governor and the state Chief Judge could save the situation.</p><br /><p>“We sincerely advice the Lagos State Governor and Chief Judge to intervene or else we shall spill their blood, serial violence is the only language Nigerians understand, since they have decided to murder the beneficiaries through their in-actions then they leave us no choice than to meet wickedness with higher wickedness.</p><br /><p>“In the coming weeks, we shall publish the names and addresses of ALL Ikeja probate judges.</p><br /><p>“Evil prevail when good men do nothing. We hereby issue a 12-Day ultimatum to them to sign and release all Letters of Administration published last year.</p><br /><p>“Failure to do so will result to a serial co-ordinated attacks and bombing of their houses and vehicles,” it warned.</p><br /><p>The group said its threat is not an ethnic affair and warned other ethnic militant organisation not to interfere in the matter.</p><br /><p>“No ethnic militant group should interfere, this is not a matter of tribe, this is about humanity, the statement read.</p><br /><p>MEND is one of the largest militant groups in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.</p><br /><p>The organization claims to expose exploitation and oppression of the people of the Niger Delta and devastation of the natural environment by public-private partnerships between the Federal Government of Nigeria and corporations involved in the production of oil in the Niger Delta.</p><br /><p>MEND has been linked to attacks on petroleum operations in Nigeria as part of the Conflict in the Niger Delta, engaging in actions including sabotage, theft, property destruction, guerrilla warfare, and kidnapping.</p><br /></div>

Funny enough, this is the second time we were on a flight together, the first time was when we went to Benin and it was a successful show.</p><br /><p>“When we came out from the flight in New York, people were surprised to see us together, so a lot of people wanted to take pictures with us and show that unity, and it felt cool. So we all left the airport, he was going for his own show in New York, while I was going for my Canadian tour, but I went through New York. But about 3 months before his own show, I had my own show and my venue was below capacity, we had like 2,000 people inside and over 3,000 people outside, and you know people in New York don’t waste time, they call the police over every little thing. ‘It wasn’t anybody’s fault, but it’s the love people have for me, it’s never happened in New York history to have an African artiste sell out a venue, so the venue was where they were expecting about five hundred people and over 4,000 people showed up.</p><br /><p>“After my show, naturally Wizkid was the next choice for them to bring to New York. So when we left the airport, you know I’ve been in America all my life, so we spoke about hooking up later at night and just hang out with friends and show them that Naija boys can do it too. Only for me to get to the HOTEL and the next tweet I saw from him was ‘proper shows, proper venue’ and I was like common, to be honest, if we were not on the same plane together, I wouldn’t have cared, but the fact that we were together in the same plane, same cabin and we spoke. It was then I knew that either this dude doesn’t like me or someone with him doesn’t like me.”</p><br /><p>Recall that in a recent interview with Wizkid, he claimed he was not talking about anyone but himself. He then argued that Davido shouldn’t have taken his tweet personal. “The situation is just so funny to me, because we all were on the same flight, I was only tweeting and talking about my show, I was talking about myself, you know I had a show in New York a year before that sold out, but the sound was bad, the venue we used was crazy and fucked up. So this time I landed at the airport, drove through the venue and I saw my name in lights and I was like wow, I came down, took a picture and I posted it with the caption ‘Proper shows, proper venues’, and people started catching feelings,” Wizkid had said.</p><br /><p>“If I was really talking to anyone, then everyone else like Iyanya and others that have done shows in the US should be mad at it. When I saw it, I just smiled because I don’t have time. If you get mad at that, then it means you don’t do proper shows at proper venues. I was just promoting my show. I feel like if am happy about my success and you are hating on it, I don’t know if I’m to consider you as a friend or foe,” he affirmed further.</p><br /><p>However, Davido feels otherwise, “it was very clear he was talking to me, who else did a show in New York, it’s very clear. I have no problem at all, Nigerian music is just growing and it’s still the two of us that’s taking it International, and I don’t have time for beef, I’m just doing music for what I love, but at the end of the day, I don’t want to be disrespected, just leave me alone, I won’t disturb you and you shouldn’t disturb me. Everybody knows he’s making money and I’m making money too,” he said.</p><br /></div>
