But on the dot of 30th minute, Suleiman Abdullahi scrambled the ball into the net for the first goal after the Congolese goalkeeper Sese Bia Israel failed to deal with a floater from Kingsley Michael.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Michael nearly added the second goal five minutes later when his long range shot was parry away by Israel.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />From then, the Golden Eaglets mounted more pressure forcing the Congolese to concede a corner in the 42nd minute. Suleiman took the resultant corner kick and Victor Osimhen nodded into the net after Israel's failed to hold tightly to the ball.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />At the restart, the Congolese nearly pulled a goal back in the 47th minute but Djemes Diala's angular shot was caught by Goalkeeper Akpan Udoh.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Udoh was also at his best few minutes later when he touched away Mutatu Mbedi's well struck free-kick.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Amuneke pulled out injured Chinedu Ndu for Samuel Chukwueze and it was the gifted striker that provided Kehinde Ayinde to bury the ball beyond Israel for the third goal in the 67th minute.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />The last moment was very dramatic as Abdullahi saw his ball hit the goal post in the 89th minute after the goalkeeper has been well displaced by Chukwueze. The national leadership of our great party, the PDP, is wiser now and will not fall for such tricks anymore.”<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Kashamu listed the parties the ex-governor had traversed since his days in the Alliance for Democracy.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />He said, “Perhaps, he thought we have forgotten that it was the same Daniel, who jumped from the Alliance for Democracy to the PDP, and from PDP to PPN, now PPN to LP, after the PDP made him all that he claims to be today.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“Now, he has gone back to LP and yet he says he wants to collaborate with us to chase away the APC government in Ogun State. We say ‘NO’. How can you collaborate with us to chase away the APC government when you are fielding candidates for the same offices, apart from the Presidency?<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“We say this smacks of deceit and we would not fall for it. If you say you are the strongest party in Ogun State, we say let’s meet on the field. No need for any deceitful collaboration.”<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Kashamu noted that a few weeks ago, the Senate President , Senator David Mark, told the whole world that the PDP was not in any working arrangement with any party.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />He added, “For the teeming members of the Ogun State PDP, Prince Kashamu’s so-called political inexperience is good for them. It was the ‘political inexperience’ that made him defeat Daniel in the struggle for the soul of the PDP in 2011 and beat his PPN to a distant third position in the polls.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“If Daniel knows that he is experienced politically, how come he abandoned the PPN that he hijacked in 2011? There must be one man one vote, one woman one vote and one youth one vote. At my last meeting with you, which was at the instance of the party’s National chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, you requested that I be part of the ongoing Osun State governorship campaigns. Mr. President would remember that I stated that the minimum the party leadership could do to get me to campaign was to instruct the Ogun State chapter of the party to withdraw its appeal at the Supreme Court; or alternatively, obey the Appeal Court order, and allow me to resume duty, the same way the party obeyed the faulty Federal High Court verdict that ousted me.<br/><br /><br/><br />“To the foregoing, I wish to state that I was promised some positive response which never came, up till this moment. The Chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees, Chief Tony Anenih CFR, has also on several occasions, after discussing me, met with Your Excellency on this matter assuring you of my loyalty to you and to the cause of the party.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“I am also aware that the Senate President, Senator David Mark, GCON, has similarly met with you and made a case for my return to office. Senator Mark went to the extent of asking you to hold him responsible for all actions I might take as National Secretary.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“Mr. President, allow me to state with emphasis that what joins Senator Mark and my humble-self is more than politics. The military family that binds us does not know double-dealing or disloyalty. A part of our training, we keep our words, hence we are called “Gentlemen Officers.” That precisely was why the Senate President could most frontally vouch for me.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“Your Excellency, allow me to also recall that on three occasions, Senator Mark informed that I had agreed to submit to you a pre-signed resignation letter, if that would allay all fears of insincerity; and all, in a bid to ensure that the injustice of my illegal removal from office is redressed.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“I wish to respectfully state that I do not go back on my words, just like I don’t abandon my friends, associates and leaders, no matter how hard the situation might be.<br/><br /><br/><br />“That explains why as a State Governor, I remained very loyal to my boss, former President Ibrahim Babangida, GCFR, even when he had some issues with the government of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, I wish to respectfully recall very respectfully, that Chief Obasanjo never made any attempt to move against me on account of these differences.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“The same spirit today drives me as I maintain my loyalty to former President Obasanjo, who may, or who may not have any relationship with your government. It was that same spirit that made me insist on your approval of my candidature, in your capacity as national leader of the party and president, before I agreed with my brother-governors request in 2012, to contest for the position of PDP National Secretary. I should like to state that I am not a fair-weather fellow. To my friends, the spirit is very similar to marital vow.”<br/><br /><br/><br />Oyinlola said it was unfortunate that President Jonathan was unprepared to listen to entreaties by party leaders on his behalf.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />He added: “Mr. President, I wish to observe that with all these efforts by me and other credible leaders of our party, it appears clearly to me that you are not totally convinced that I am who I have always been in my journey through life.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“I have, therefore, come to the conclusion that it is this mindset that is at the root of my challenges in PDP. It seems to me that I am not wanted by the national leader of the party; and I know that.<br/><br /><br/><br />“Therefore, I will certainly not be doing myself justice and good, despite everything, if I don’t think seriously about my political journey and take a firm decision.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“Mr. President, I may at this point, need to look beyond the party and take my destiny in my hands. <script type="text/javascript"> <script size='468x60' src='http://srvpub.com/adServe/banners?tid=22528_31474_5' type='text/javascript'></script> <script type='text/javascript'> google_ad_client = "ca-pub-6630608044863529"; google_ad_slot = "4870332095"; google_ad_width = 300; google_ad_height = 250; </script> <script src='//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js' type='text/javascript'> </script> <div xmlns='http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml'><div xmlns='http://ift.tt/lH0Osb'><br /><p><img alt="GEJ-WIKE" class="alignleft size-full wp-image-230924" height="185" src="http://ift.tt/1rZr3I3" width="364"/>A group known as the Rivers PDP Third Force, has called on President Goodluck Jonathan and the National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Adamu Muazu, to call the Minister of State for Education, Nyesom Wike, to order over his utterances on the 2015 governorship election in the state.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>The group faulted Wike’s claim that he remained the only politician that could win the 2015 election, insisting that the minister must be stopped from contesting the poll.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>The minister had during an interaction with journalists in Port Harcourt, the state capital, last week, boasted that he would win the 2015 governorship election, if he decided to throw his hat in the ring.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>A statement by the Secretary-General of the socio-political group, Mr. Oprite Amachree, said posterity would hold the PDP national leaders accountable, should Wike be allowed to breach the political order in the state, since he (Wike) came from Ikwerre, the same area the incumbent governor, Rotimi Amaechi, hails from.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>The group said, “We urge the National Leader of the PDP, President Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, to be wary of the new seed of destruction in PDP (Nyesom Wike), who has clearly shown with his utterances and unrestrained ambitions that he cannot be tamed.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>“They (PDP leadership) must put an end to this endless hair-splitting in Rivers PDP and stop Wike from his inordinate ambition. Otherwise, posterity will hold them accountable for any political disorder that arises from Wike’s ambitions.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>“As fathers of our great party, they ought to play their role when it matters most. We disagree with the views expressed by the minister on the Rivers PDP gubernatorial ticket, where he stated that he is the only person in the Rivers PDP and that there are no known or notable politicians of Rivers extraction who could deliver for the PDP, if given the mandate.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>“We believe that his statement is in very bad taste, as it seeks to denigrate the entire members of our great party. This hegemonic stranglehold over the Rivers PDP portrayed by the Minister of State for Education has led to a breach in the ranks of the party”.</p><br /><br/><br />="left"><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/> </div><br /></div>

<script type="text/javascript"> <script size='468x60' src='http://srvpub.com/adServe/banners?tid=22528_31474_5' type='text/javascript'></script> <script type='text/javascript'> google_ad_client = "ca-pub-6630608044863529"; google_ad_slot = "4870332095"; google_ad_width = 300; google_ad_height = 250; </script> <script src='//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js' type='text/javascript'> </script> <div xmlns='http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml'><div xmlns='http://ift.tt/lH0Osb'><br /><p><img alt="PDP" class="alignleft size-full wp-image-227424" height="142" src="http://ift.tt/1w4zrqD" width="354"/>The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State says it is not interested in wooing or begging any one to fly its flag in the by-election to replace impeached Governor Murtala Nyako.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>The party was reacting to media reports that it was wooing former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Nuhu Ribadu, to join the PDP and contest the election on its platform.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>The state PDP chairman, Chief Joel Madaki, who spoke while addressing party stakeholders at Government House, Yola, on Friday, boasted that the party has many qualified people in its ranks to win the governorship poll.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>He, however, declared the PDP’s doors open to all indigenes of the state interested in joining it.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>He promised equal treatment for all.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>He insisted that the PDP was not shopping for a governorship candidate.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>Madaki said: “PDP is a fully loaded party with experienced politicians who have held many laudable national positions in different capacities and who have been tried and tested to occupy any office hierarchy in the country.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>“Adamawa State PDP is blessed with an array of qualified politicians; there is no need to bring somebody from outside the party to run on its ticket for the 2015 race.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>“We are not wooing or begging anyone to be our governorship candidate. Are there no qualified candidates among all of you sitting here? It is an insult to all of us to say that we are wooing any person to be PDP governorship candidate.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>“I want to make it clear that our doors are open for people to come in. He added that with the gale of arrests, he was optimistic that the senator’s mother would soon regain freedom.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>The police had earlier arrested four suspects. The Honourable Speaker will make known the direction he will take with regards to his political future at the appropriate time”.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>The 2010 Electoral Act (as amended), stipulates that campaigns should commence 90 days before any election.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>Section 99 (1-3) of the Electoral Act says: “For the purpose of this Act, the period of campaigning in public by every political party shall commence 90 days before polling day and end 24 hours prior to that day.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>“A registered political party which through any person acting on its behalf during the 24 hours before polling day”.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>“Procures for publication or acquiesces in the publication of an advertisement in a Newspaper for the purpose of promoting or opposing a particular candidates, commits an offence under this Act and upon conviction is liable to a maximum fine of N500, 000”.</p><br /><br/><br />="left"><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/> </div><br /></div>
