Maybe it will be a good lesson for the players, may be too much confidence and let’s see how the game will go in South Africa,” he said.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Keshi also said that at the interval, he told his players to play their normal game and in the second half they really woke up.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />On their second match against South Africa, next week, Keshi said, “we have to win, if we will qualify.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“To Nigerians, we say this kind of thing happens at times, this is football,” Keshi said.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Vice President of Congo Football Federation, Mr. John Paul Fouane, told the News Agency of Nigeria that despite their victory, Nigeria had a good team.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“I am very happy because Nigeria is a good team. We were surprised at the outcome of the match.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“Today is not good for Nigeria and Nigeria should not be underrated. While another resident claimed it was caused by suspected hoodlums.</p><br /><p>A drink seller, Agundiade in the area who said he lost about N6m to the fire said: “It was very unfortunate. We all did our best, but it was not enough. Many of us still cannot understand how it happened,” he said.</p><br /><p>A business owner, Izeigie Papa, aka Paragon, however, accused the men of the Lagos State Fire Service of negligence in delaying to respond to their call for help.</p><br /><p>He said: The fire grew into an uncontrollable inferno. We made efforts to put it out, but it didn’t work”. “The fire service men did not respond on time and when they came, things were already out of hand. They didn’t do anything. They only stood like observers.”</p><br /><p>Meanwhile the Director of the Lagos State Fire Service, Razak Fadipe, said the people in the area obstructed the firemen from doing their job.</p><br /><p>He said: “Over 300 bolt up buildings were consumed by the fire while some other buildings were saved with three fire trucks from Eti Osa, Onikan and Sari Iganmu.</p><br /><p>“The fire started as a result of a generator that was being fuelled while working. It exploded and while they were trying to battle it on their own, it became uncontrollable.</p><br /><p>“On our arrival, we met the raging fire, but we were attacked. Some of the residents also wanted us to start the firefighting from their end, so they were dragging the hose with the firemen and rough handled some of them. They smashed a fire truck windscreen.”</p><br /></div>

Every hospital wanted him to work for them. He was a workaholic, huge in size and full of energy, though he struggled so much then to make ends meet.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />”When I saw how good he was on the job, I personally advised him to start his own clinic. He objected, but I continued to encourage him until he gave it a trial.<br/><br /><br/><br />“I am not exaggerating, D’Iky, as we called him, was good in medicine. His workers and patients can testify that he was a genius in medicine.”<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Mr. Idaye Opi, a lawyer, said of Enemuo: “Iky was my friend, an acquaintance and also my client. I have known him for more than five years. Over time, I came to respect him for his hard work.<br/><br /><br/><br />“He graduated from the University of Jos and came to Rivers State for youth service, and stayed back thereafter.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />”I don’t know why Iky did what he did, but it is very bad that Iky had to die this way, because I knew Iky to be a responsible, hardworking, i<br/><br /><br/><br />ntelligent young man. I’m not happy that he ended his life like this.<br/><br /><br/><br />“Iky, like any other working person, liked to earn his money. But I don’t see him as a criminal anyway.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“There was a time somebody died in his clinic.The police officer relation of the old man came after him. I followed him all through the time. Even the Nigeria Medical Association(NMA) cleared him because he did his work well.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“The man died as a result of abandonment at the hospital by his relations to the point that Iky was treating and feeding him with his own money.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“When the man later died, they came out to make trouble because they wanted to extort money from somebody.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“He was not that kind of person people are talking about, but he liked to see and have the proceeds of the job he did.”<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />via nigerianeye</div><br /></div>

The journey took an entire day and night. I got to Maiduguri the following day. I have seven children but I was able to escape with only two. Right now, I do not know the whereabouts of the rest of my children and their mother.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“Though they provide food for us at the camp, I have not been able to eat like several other people here because we are presently suffering psychological trauma. We are concerned about the fate of the rest of our families and friends whom we are still searching for and do not know whether they are trapped in Bama or have been killed.”<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Recalling the moment the town came under the terrorists’ attack, he said the heavy sound of gunshots and mortars almost drove them out of their skins.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“We heard deafening gunshots and it was as if the heaven was about falling on us. We could no longer stay indoors, we were afraid the danger was going to swallow us up. He is yet to get over the shock of the latest attack on the town by the insurgents as he told newsmen that he is lucky to be alive.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Mamman said, “We initially thought the insurgents were soldiers deployed in Bama barracks because they were fully kitted in military camouflage and vehicles. When they reached the barracks, they started shooting sporadically to scare the military men away and when we saw this we knew the town was in danger. We had to run into the bush to save our lives.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“We had to trek from Bama to Kawuri before we were able to board a vehicle to Maiduguri. As we speak, I do not know what might have happened to my parents back in Bama. I am only praying and hoping that they are safe wherever they are right now,” he said.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />A 42-year-old woman, Kellu Kachallah, also had bitter tales to tell. She said that even in Maiduguri she does not feel safe with her children.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Kachallah said, “We passed through hell getting out of the town with our children.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“It was hectic especially trekking all the way to Kawuri for several hours with little children before finally squeezing ourselves with others in a vehicle to Maiduguri. As I am talking to you, I am still feeling pains all over my body as a result of all we went through these past few days.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“I do not pray to see what I saw in Bama in my life time again. The terrorists came in hundreds with sophisticated weapons and started shooting in every direction. They succeeded in scaring the security men away before taking their weapons.
