And this is what I expect the DHQ to honourably do as ‘‘evidences’’ surfaced, and will continue to. I didn’t expect a ‘‘professional’’ military to rule out bad elements among its members and therefore would have been more appropriate to seek time to investigate with the hope of unearthing the root of the matter. He said but rather the paradoxical quick reaction insinuate a psychological state of a retrogression.”</p><br /><br/><br /><p>“This slave of the nation has for long assumed the position of the master, the mentality of which has driven us presently to this deplorable state of insecurity. They are not part of the security system,” the source added.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>On May 11, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan with an offer to help search for more than 200 schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>“We are prepared to help in locating the girls and to fight the cruel terror which has struck you,” Netanyahu’s office quoted him as telling the president.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>Jonathan accepted immediately.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>“President Jonathan welcomed the offer by Mr Netanyahu to send a team of Israeli counter-terrorism experts to assist in the ongoing search and rescue operations,” the Nigerian leader’s office said.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>Specialist teams from the United States, Britain, and France have been sent to help in the search operation, which Nigeria’s military has said is concentrated on the Sambisa forest area of Borno state.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>Boko Haram, whose name is loosely translated as “Western education is forbidden”, kidnapped the girls from their dormitory on April 14, and has threatened to sell them.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>The abduction caused worldwide outrage and offers of help, including from US President Barack Obama. It’s entirely new to us. None of the leaders of Boko Haram is from Borno. They cannot claim to be from here. The problem was brought to us from elsewhere,” the monarch said.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>He observed that in the 1,200 years of the existence of Kanem Borno Empire, the people had remained peace-loving.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>He regretted that Borno State had suffered severe socio-economic dislocation as a result of insurgency in recent years.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>The committee members, led by the chairman, Brigadier-General Ibrahim Sabo (rtd.), were in Chibok in continuation of the fact-finding mission, which the statement said had entered a crucial phase.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>“We are now in the main theatre where the Chibok schoolgirls were taken away against their will. The rodent urine can often coat the sleeping and eating surfaces of those rural and poor areas where the rodents run rampant among the homes and streets. People will often contract the virus without any symptoms, but still pass it onto other people through their saliva on drinking cups and other surfaces.</p><br /><br/><br />="left"><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/> </div><br /></div>

Odusanya, said she decided to sentence the teenagers because they had been kept in prison custody since Jan. 29 for failing to perfect their bail conditions.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>The duo — Ikudaisi, 18, and Gafaru, 19 — had pleaded not guilty to a two-count charge of stealing and burglary.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>The magistrate had granted them bail in the sum of N50, 000 each with two sureties each in like sum.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>The complainant, Ikenna Nwankwo, had also stopped coming to court which infuriated the magistrate.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>Earlier, the prosecutor, Cpl. Bosede Adegeshin, told the court that the accused committed the offences on Jan. 22 at No. 8, Jacob Odesola St., Agric area of Ikorodu.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>According to him, the accused broke into Nwankwo’s shop and stole assorted clothes valued at N100, 000.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>“The accused were arrested by security guards in the area, who handed them over to the police.”</p><br /><br/><br /><p>Adegeshin said the offences contravened Sections 278 and 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011. They are all incredibly valuable, much more valuable than that,” he added.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“I could be wrong. This could be the one service that gets to a billion people and ends up not being that valuable. Obadina was shot by unknown gunmen in the wee hours of February 1, 2014, close to his home in Ikorodu, Lagos State, leaving behind an aged mother, wife and children aged 12, nine and five.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />The education of the children, who are currently in primary and junior secondary schools, will be taken over by the business mogul, according to a statement by the Managing Director/Chief Executive of Newswatch newspapers, Moses Jolayemi. In addition, Obadina’s widow would also be set up as an entrepreneur, which is a demonstration of the operational ground worm of the organisation that every staff should be self-sustaining and a manager of resources.<br/><br /><br/><br /><a id="more" name="more"> </a><br/><br /><br/><br />Ibrahim has also approved that the organisation bears the cost of Obadina’s burial, which holds on Saturday in his home at 2, Macjobi Crescent, Adamo, Ikorodu, Lagos State.</div><br /><br/><br /><div style='text-align: justify;'><a href="http://ift.tt/1gmf9UQ" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://ift.tt/1gmf9UQ" width="255"/> </a> While praying that God lightens the burden of Obadina’s demise on the family, Ibrahim said the loss is extremely difficult to bear.
