The wanton killing by Islamist sect group Boko Haram continues in a brazen attack on Askira-Uba local government council of Borno state, killing nine persons in Huyim village, reports Vanguard.

“The Boko Members attacked Dille and killed 45 persons,” a local vigilante told journalists on Wednesday.

“Another nine villagers were killed in Huyim Village yesterday after the Boko Haram terrorists killed the village head of Dille, burnt many houses, Churches and left many others seriously injured.

The terrorists had attacked the mainly Christian community and started shooting at every possible target.

Boko Haram has been unleashing terror on the country’s northeast, with thousands of death recorded in the past one year. The sect wants an Islamic state and says western education is sin. Although Borno State and two other north east states, Adamawa and Yobe are under emergency rule, attacks by the sect continue, with deaths now recorded almost on a daily basis.
