Nigeria’s Super Eagles on Sunday morning won their first World Cup match in 16 years with a 1 – 0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The lone goal was scored by Osaze Peter Odemwingie in the 28th minute of play.

It was a thrilling match with an abundance of nail biting moments. From Bosnia’s disallowed offside goal which will surely be a source of controversy to the extra time goal opportunity which was deftly saved by Nigerian goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama.

Though Bosnia enjoyed 59% possession, Nigeria excelled with numerous chances and shots on goal by Michel Babatunde and exceptional play by Emmanuel Emenike.
