Protests in Kano over Sanusi's choice as Kano Emir.

There were Protests this evening in Kano over the choice of the Former Central Bank Governor as the Emir of Kano.

Bonfires around Kofar Nassarawa. Road to Government House, Kano, from former Silver Jubilee round-about blocked by irate youths. Motorists compelled by youths to fix leaves to their windscreens.















Security forces have been mobilised for crowd dispersal. Police men stationed in strategic round-abouts. Patrol teams headed for flashpoint at Kofar Nassarawa.
