A 30-year-old police woman, Tutu Willoughby, who allegedly assaulted her colleague, Corporal Raymond Ogweh by slapping him, has been dragged before an Ikeja Magistrate’s court.
Willoughby faces a two-count charge of assault and obstruction, having committed the offence on February 11, 2014 along Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Ikeja, Lagos.
Investigative Police Officer, Seargent Oladimeji Kazeem, said the defendant unlawfully assaulted Ogweh by slapping him while on duty and obstructed him from performing his lawful duty.
Willoughby however pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted bail in the sum of N50,000 and one surety in like sum.
The presiding magistrate adjourned the matter till February 21, 2014 for hearing.
