The kind of change we want, only Buhari can guarantee us. He was a former governor, former minister and former president. In all these positions, he left with an enviable and unblemished record.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“His unblemished record of service becomes more surprising and unprecedented, especially when one takes into cognizance the fact that he held these positions during the military era when he could have logged the treasury and got away with it. They decide to remove me before they look for reasons to adduce to convince the public that I should be removed.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“The impeachment battle is still raging and I know the feelings of Ebonyi people. If not that we appealed to them to douse the tension, Ebonyi State would have been on fire by now.”<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Elechi also said that those plotting to remove him from office were panicking and doing all sorts of things to arrest events in the state. “But that is possible and we remain unstoppable because it is the will of the people that is manifesting,” he added.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Meanwhile, the youth called on the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Chukwuma Nwazunku, to apologise to Ebonyi indigenes for inciting other lawmakers in the impeachment plot against Elechi.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“If he failed to apolgise to Ebonyi people for instigating the impeachment plot in the House, then we would have no option but to ensure he is punished adequately,” the National President of Nigeria Youth Organisation, Okorie Okorie, said.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />via nigerianeye</div><br /></div>

Ballot boxes with red cover is for putting a thumb printing ballot paper by a voter for the presidential election, ballot box with a black cover is putting thumb printing ballot paper by a voter for the senatorial election and the green ballot box is for putting thumb printed ballot paper by a voter for the House of Representatives.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“Each ballot paper has corresponding colour stripes to assist voters in putting the right ballot paper in the right ballot box. For each polling /voting point, there is a designated official called overseer, whose primary job is to ensure that voters put the right ballot paper into the right ballot box. Political parties need to factor this into their campaigns to minimise putting the ballot paper into the wrong ballot box.”<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />As a result of this, he said there shall be two sorting of voting at the polling units, explaining that it was meant to ensure that any wrongly placed ballot papers re removed and put back into the right ballot boxes and the second is meant to determine the votes cast by voters for a political party/candidate.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />According to the INEC chairman, “At the end of the sorting and counting of the ballot papers, the results are to be announced to the rearing of all and a result poster is to be completed and pasted at the polling units. Copies of the result sheets are to be given a accredited party agents who are present while the original is to be conveyed to the ward level coalition centre by the presiding officer accompanied by the security agents and the party agents.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“At the ward level collation centre, if there are complaints and/or evidence of alteration of accreditation figures on the result sheets, the information on accreditation saved on the card readers used would be used by the collation officer to decide on the case.”<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Jega further explained that hard copies of result sheets from the polling units would be scanned, converted to PDF format and put in a database, which be made accessible for viewing an download via the INEC website. Four or five computer centres will be designated in each state of the federation.<br/><br /><br/><br />“ Applicants will be divided according to these centres and they will be communicated online individually the date they are required to sit for the examination and the location in order to prevent over-crowding in centres and cases of non-applicants in attendance,” he said.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />The spokesman said the CBT was a global trend accepted and used worldwide to conduct examinations.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />He said the device was chosen to prevent the rigours associated with paper-based examinations.<br/><br /><br/><br />He said that applicants would not be required to bring any writing materials; rather, they would only need their password which was the registration number to log into the computer, answer the test and submit online.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Obua said after the test, successful applicants would be contacted individually and asked to report to designated immigration offices across the country where they would be further examined.<br/><br /><br/><br />“ At this stage, we will do the physical examination to check the height, presence of any physical disabilities and general state of health of applicants to ensure that they are fit to carry out their duties when employed.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“ Documents of applicants will also be reviewed during the examination after which successful candidates will be contacted online informing them of their acceptance into the service,” he said.<br/><br /><br/><br />NAN reports that applications for recruitment into the NIS which commenced on Feb. 9 closed on March 22.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />via nigerianeye</div><br /></div>

Iyobosa Onaiwu, told the court that the offences were committed sometime this month at Osborn Road, Ikoyi.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><a id="more" name="more"> </a><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Onaiwu alleged that the accused and another also standing trial were found defacing some posters belonging to Agbaje.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />The offences contravened Sections 166(d), 337 and 410 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.<br/><br /><br/><br />Olomojobi, however, pleaded guilty to the charges.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />In his ruling, the Magistrate, Mr F.J. She said congregants shouted that they forgave him and told him they loved him.</p><br /><p>“The stress of it all — he had a heart attack,” Stovall told the paper.<br/><br />Police said they’ve been informed about the incident and already closed the case.</p><br /><p>“We have had numerous inquiries about a pastor who suffered a medical crisis at Miracle Faith World Outreach on Harriet Street and later died,” Bridgeport Police Department spokesman Bill Kaempffer said in a statement obtained by The Huffington Post. “Detectives interviewed dozens of people who were present and reviewed video that was taken by a member of the church.</p><br /><p>Based on that investigation, investigators are confident that there is no criminal element.”</p><br /><p>A representative for the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner told HuffPost the cause of death is pending further review. Neither Stovall or the church could be reached for comment on Thursday.</p><br /><p>Davis and his wife, Christine, just celebrated their 50th anniversary together in June, according to the church’s website. Therefore, the APC asked all its supporters to call the PDP’s bluff, stay calm and inform the authorities about every act of violence, intimidation, harassment or threat.</p><br /><p><em>“We are also alerting the general public to be vigilant and calling on all the security agencies in the state to note and deter the PDP’s planned ambush of our people’s democratic will,”</em> the party said.</p><br /><p>The party called for peaceful, fair and credible elections, saying,<em>“Sixteen years since the return of civil rule, there are no excuses not to embrace fair play”.</em> </p><br /><p>According to The Punch, the PDP has urged the police in Kaduna state to call the APC governorship candidate to order for asking his supporters to pull down billboards and other campaign material of the party.</p><br /><p>Yakubu Lere, the chairman of the Yero/Bajoga campaign, stated that the PDP’s investigations revealed that the APC candidate intended to cause protests, violence and the destruction of lives and property during the upcoming elections in the state.</p><br /><p>“<em>What he led his followers to do yesterday was in fact a rehearsal of what they intend to unleash on our peaceful members, supporters and even innocent electorate on Saturday.<br/> </em> </p><br /><p><em>“By this action, El-Rufai has confirmed popular opinion that he is training thugs to disrupt the general elections in Kaduna State, owing to the fear of imminent defeat. Besides, he knows that by all standards, he lacks the minimum moral requirements to be a governor of the state.</em> </p><br /><p><em>“We appeal that the Inspector-General of Police should call El-Rufai to order before he plunges the state into uncontrollable violence and flame,”</em> the statement read.</p><br /><p> </p><br /><p>In a fresh allegation against the opposition party, Femi Fani-Kayode, the director of media and publicity of the PDP presidential campaign organisation, has said that he watched a video which showed the leaders of the APC planning to mobilise Nigerians to demand a military intervention if Goodluck Jonathan wins the forthcoming presidential election.</p><br /></div><br /></div>
