Moath al-Kasasbeh, 27, was burned alive while confined in a cage.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />In response, Jordan executed two prisoners -- Sajida al-Rishawi, a would-be suicide bomber whose release ISIS had previously demanded as part of a prisoner exchange, and Ziad <a id="more" name="more"> </a>Karbouli, a former top aide to the deceased leader of al Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />The pilot's father is demanding his country do more.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />"These were criminals and there is no comparison between them and Moath. His blood is more valued than Sajida al-Rishawi and Ziad Karbouli," said al-Kasasbeh's father, Safi. "I demand that revenge should be bigger than executing prisoners."<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />His son's horrific death was recorded and the video was posted online Tuesday.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />The video and images drew global condemnation and prompted protests and vows of retaliation in Jordan.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />King Abdullah has promised a strong response, saying that ISIS isn't just fighting his nation, but warring against "noble Islam" itself.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />The country now wants to step up airstrikes against the terrorist organization, according to a source with direct knowledge of the situation.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />But the pilot's uncle, Yassin Al Rawashdeh, has said that he also wants to see ground troops involved in the U.S.-led coalition against ISIS in Iraq and Syria.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Said the pilot's father: "I demand that this criminal organization (ISIS) ... should be annihilated."<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />via nigerianeye</div><br /></div>

Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State on Friday said that his administration had concluded plans to relocate all tank farms in Apapa to a world class industrial and petrochemical plant in Lekki.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Fashola spoke in Lagos as the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign train in the state moved to Apapa area of the state.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />He said that the relocation would make Apapa become the commercial, residential and industrial hub it used to be.<br/><br /><br/><br /><a id="more" name="more"> </a><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />The state government had said that tank farms in areas such as Apapa posed a danger to residents.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“You do not need 3,000 tankers to come to Apapa and move fuel supply to the whole of Nigeria.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“We will be able to supply the country from the Lagos refinery that we have.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“Once the refinery in Lekki is built, we will move all the tank farms out to a world class petrochemical plant that I have designed for you,” Fashola said.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />The governor also said that he had signed an agreement to build a Shoprite mall in Festac, saying those for Isolo and Ikorodu were also on the way.<br/><br /><br/><br />Fashola urged the residents to vote for the party’s governorship candidate in the February election, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, for continuity of good governance in the state.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“Ambode will continue with all these plans so that life can return back to Apapa and the entire state.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“Vote for continuity in Lagos, it is too big to gamble with, it is too strategic to Nigeria, Africa and indeed the entire world,” Fashola said.<br/><br /><br/><br />He commended residents for their trust and support, saying that their votes would not be taken for granted.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Earlier, Ambode said that the state had enjoyed steady growth and development and it was necessary to continue with the tradition of excellence, which the party was known for.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />He promised that the traffic gridlock on Apapa-Oshodi Expressway would be re-addressed.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“The only way you can address this is to vote for APC, we must continue with the tradition of excellence,” Ambode said.(NAN)<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />via nigerianeye</div><br /></div>

Since her death in June 2014, it has emerged that she went to the US back then to get a cancer treatment surgery.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />A letter has just been released which Akunyili wrote in 1999 thanking Gen. Buhari who was then the PTF Chairman, and who had approved £17,100 for her medical treatment.
