<b>The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Akinsola, who works at the Ekiti State Christian Pilgrims Board, was full of praises to God for answering her prayers.</b><br />

The mother of two girls, who weighed 4.2kg and 2.3kg, advised other couples in need of children not to lose hope.<br />

Akinsola, who on her Facebook page, says she hails from Ilawe-Ekiti, in an interview with NAN, expressed gratitude to God for giving her the children after several years.<br />
<br />
” I thank God for the new name he has given to me; before, I was being called “Iya Iyanu’’ without a child, but today, my name has changed to “Mummy Twins.’’<br />
<br />
“Many of my colleagues, friends and neighbours mocked and sidelined me, but because I stood firm on the words of God, He answered my prayers.<br />
<br />
“I thank my husband, who inspite of the troubles and problems from family members, friends, colleagues and neighbours still believe in me and God.<br />
<br />
“He stood by me like a father in all ways and also believed in God all through the crisis. I also thank my siblings who stood by me in prayers for years.<br />
<br />
“Let me thank God for all those who stood by me in prayers and encouraged me not to desist from serving God.<br />
<br />
“These children are indeed signs that God never forgets his own people who diligently seek him and believe in his words, ” she said.<br />
<br />
The father of the twins,Babatunde,49, also expressed gratitude to God for the children.<br />
<br />
“We fast, pray and cry unto God for the fruits of the womb for years, but I am happy that today, God has finally fulfilled his promise to my family.<br />
<br />
“I thank members of our church under the callings of Pastor and Mrs David Ajileye for their prayers and care for my family,’’ the happy father, who is also a civil servant, said.<br />
<br />
Ajileye, who is the General Overseer of the Way of Life Bible Church, Ado-Ekiti, thanked God for his blessings in the lives of the couple.<br />
<br />
“We have known the couple for over 15 years and they have been steadfast and faithful in serving God inspite of the challenges they were facing.<br />
<br />
“For years, I and my wife have been praying to God to give the couple the fruit of the womb; I am so happy that the lord has answered their prayers.<br />
<br />
“The church witnessed a similar miracle in 2013 when a couple, members of our church delivered a set of twins, a boy and a girl after 31 years of childlessness,’’ he said.<br />
<br />
He advised the couple to teach and train the children in the ways of the lord.<br />

Pictures from the Internally Displaced refugees camp with 1000 people, including a lot of small children and pregnant women who up until recently had their own homes but now are forced to live in these tents in this camp in dowtown Johannesburg in an area called Germiston which also was center for a lot of Xenophobic attacks.<br />

The camp, housing displaced immigrants from all over Africa including Nigeria, was set up about a week ago next to the Primrose Hill Police station, on Poppy Rd, Germiston to prevent further attacks<br />

"Next Saturday I'm going again with a group of other volunteers we call 'United 247' .. Especially other West Africans living in the unaffected and plush areas in Joburg should come out and support our fellow Africans who have lost all their belongings due to these Xenophobia attacks. The SA winter has started so its becoming very cold in the evening so blankets, clothes and any food that can be spared are highly welcomed." Matthew said<br />

<b>The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has praised drivers and motorcycle riders associations for refusing to obey Governor Ayodele Fayose’s inciting order to foment trouble over alleged plan by the 19 APC lawmakers to storm the House of Assembly with thugs to impeach him and asked Why must a governor choose violence as a religion?.</b><br />

The governor had yesterday made a live broadcast on the state media urging drivers, motorbike operators, market women and workers‎ to rise up to protect the mandate they gave him.<br />
<br />

Few minutes later, state radio and television stations ran public announcements intermittently‎ urging drivers and motorcycle operators to be on the look-out for strange faces invading the town to work for the APC lawmakers while also urging them to mobilise to the House of Assembly to prevent the governor’s impeachment.<br />
<br />
But on Monday, the drivers and many okada riders refused to protest, saying that they would not be used as cannon fodder while the governor’s children were kept in safety and luxury abroad.<br />
<br />
In a statement, Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatubosun, praised the transport workers for their courage and wisdom, saying it is callous for a man to put fellow human beings in harm’s way over protection of his interest while ‎keeping his own children out of danger to enjoy safety in luxury.<br />
<br />
“We praised the drivers and motorcycle operators for ‎their courage and wisdom. Fayose is used to protecting his own interest and keeping his children in safety while he distributes guns to the children of others to foment trouble.<br />
<br />
“The day he was first impeached in 2006, he asked his supporters to meet at Fajuyi to confront the soldiers. It is later that his supporters discovered that the governor had bolted in the booth of his car to safety while his supporters were tear-gassed with several of them wounded,” Olatubosun said.<br />
APC spokesman said the matter at hand was not about partisanship but about the abuse of the constitution, and wondered why Fayose believed he must win through violence all the time he tramples on the constitution.<br />
<br />
“He first led thugs to sack the court and beat up a judge while court records in the Chief Judge’s office were torn. The Chief Judge’s Secretary was beaten. Now, he openly made a live broadcast in the state media inciting his supporters to an act of insurrection by disallowing the lawmakers to do their lawful duties.<br />
<br />
“Even during Sunday service in the church, Fa‎yose, to the shock of everyone, was inciting worshipers to protect the mandate they gave him through violent resistance to the lawmakers. Why must a governor choose violence as a religion?<br />
<br />
“He effectively grounded the judiciary and now it is the turn of the parliament. Nigerian democracy is on trial and the Constitution ‎of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is in chains if Fayose can single-handedly cripple these two sacred democratic institutions through violence and he appears winning all the way,” Olatubosun said.<br />
<br />
He wondered why Fayose preferred violent option in the resolution of constitutional and democratic matters. He also asked Ekiti elders preaching peace to Speaker Adewale Omirin that they must first start with Fayose on the need to embrace peace by operating within the ambit of the law instead of inciting people into violence.<br />
<br />
Olatubosun also regretted that the governor’s inciting media statement had created panic among parents who kept their wards at home for fear of attacks on their way to schools.<br />

<b>Nigeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs II, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, is hopeful that citizens affected by the xenophobic attacks in South Africa will be compensated.</b><br />
<br />
Since the renewed attacks started last week, several Nigerians have lost their businesses and other belongings to fire set by locals on buildings where their businesses were housed.<br />
<br />
Senator Obanikoro in an interview with Channels TV, said that Nigerian High Commissioner, Martin Cobham and other delegations were taking stock of damages done to Nigerians to ensure that adequate compensation would be given to them.<br />
<br />
“We have situations where some of our people lost their shops in this attack.<br />
<br />

<br />
“We are taking stock of the damages done to them and we are going to be engaging the South African Government,” senator Obanikoro said.<br />
<br />
He stated that the South African government had been exploring different avenues to end the attacks that have claimed several lives in KwaZulu-Natal province.<br />

“One of the major stakeholders who incited the South African community has called for a meeting this morning where some representatives of the affected countries would be addressed.<br />
<br />
“Some traditional rulers will be there to see how they can douse the situation and ensure the safety of Nigerians and other nationals in South Africa.<br />
<br />
“This is a very shameful situation and it has attracted a lot of international outcry.<br />
<br />
“I think the leaders have seen the need to ensure that the xenophobic attacks do not escalate.<br />
<br />
“The attitude is now more promising and within the next few days we should be able to put this behind us.<br />
<br />
“We are working on how best we can get a lasting solution to the problem,” the Nigerian Minister said.<br />

It’s not clear exactly why it happens.<br/><br /><br/><br /><a id="more" name="more"> </a><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“Weird things happen early, early in the pregnancy that we just don’t understand,” said Dr. Draion Burch, an obstetrician and gynecologist in Pittsburgh, who goes by Dr. Drai. “This is one of those medical mysteries.”<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />The World Health Organization considers a tiny fetus found within an infant to be a kind of teratoma, or tumor, rather than a normally developing fetus.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />But the doctors who treated the baby girl wrote that rather than a teratoma, the tiny fetuses may instead be the remains of sibling twins that were absorbed during the pregnancy.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />The newborn baby was referred to Dr. Yu Kai-man, an obstetrician and gynecologist at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Hong Kong, because the baby was suspected to have a tumor, according to the case report. The mother’s prenatal ultrasound had revealed an unusual mass within the infant, but it was unclear to the doctors exactly what the mass was. During surgery, which was done when the girl was about 3 weeks old, the surgeons discovered two fetuses between her liver and her kidney.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />One fetus weighed 0.3 ounces (9.3 grams) and the other 0.5 ounces (14.2 grams) — corresponding to about 8 and 10 weeks’ gestation, the case report said.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Each of the babies had an umbilical cord that linked to a placenta-like mass in the girl’s belly.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />The baby girl was obviously too young to have conceived the fetuses herself. Instead, it’s likely that the girl was once one of triplets, the researchers said. Then, for some mysterious reason, the two smaller fetuses were absorbed into the body of the remaining child.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />The fetuses would likely have still been alive and growing when they were absorbed into the surviving baby’s body. Once there, however, their development couldn’t proceed normally, Burch said.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“They need placental flow and all that other stuff to really grow,” Burch told Live Science.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Fetus-in-fetu may, in fact, be similar to a surprisingly common phenomenon: vanishing twin syndrome, Burch said. In many twin pregnancies, one of the twins is completely absorbed and “vanishes” into the body of the other.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“When you do a delivery and you see an extra placenta and a cord, you say, ‘Oh, it must have been a twin,'” Burch said.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Fetus-in-fetus has been reported in about 200 cases in the medical literature. In 2006, doctors in Pakistan removed two fetuses from a 2-month-old girl named Nazia, according to NBC News. And in 2011, an 18-year-old boy had his retained twin removed in a major surgery, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />In rare instances, fetuses that die in utero can become calcified and turn into stone. In August 2014, doctors in India removed a lithopedion, orstone baby, that a 60-year-old woman had carried in her body for 36 years.
