Bush, who was taken to a Houston hospital on Tuesday night as a precautionary measure after experiencing shortness of breath, remained there on Wednesday, but aides said he had a good day.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“The Bush family certainly appreciates all your prayers, love and concern. This is not two years ago. It’s a hiccup. He should come home in a few days,” Jean Becker, Bush’s chief of staff, told CNN.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><a id="more" name="more"> </a><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Bush, 90, served as the US 41st President and is the father of 43rd President George W. Bush.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Bush, a Republican, was previously hospitalised in November 2012, with bronchitis but recovered after two months.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Before becoming President, Bush “senior” served as vice president under Ronald Reagan.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />He is also a former Navy pilot and flew 58 combat missions in World War II in the Pacific.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Bush was shot down once but was rescued by US sailors, according to his White House biography.
