The office of Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd), the National Security Adviser in Nigeria also doesn’t respond. While an aide said Mr. Dasuki is traveling in Mexico.</p><br /><p>Mahamat Bichara Gnoti, regular visitor & close confidant of Idris Derby was Nov 17 arrested with 19 SAM2 missiles destined 4 Boko Haram.</p><br /><p>However, the arrest of Mr. Gnoti, if confirmed, will provide solid evidence that the Chadian President is largely behind Boko Haram lightning insurgency in Nigeria’s northwest.<br/><br />Recently, Mr. Derby swindled the Nigerian government of millions of dollars in a failed attempt to negotiate the release of over 200 Chibok schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram in April.</p><br /><p>On September 8th, President Goodluck Jonathan made a dramatic visit to N’djamena to meet with Idris Derby, Mr. Jonathan was accompanied on the trip by former Governor of Borno State, Ali Modu Sherrif.</p><br /><p>The visit was condemned by opposition figures and civil society groups in Nigeria as they see it as an open embrace of individuals funding Boko Haram militants.</p><br /><p>An Australian negotiator, Stephen Davis had accused Mr. Sheriff and former Chief of Army Staff, Azubuike Ihejirika of actively funding Boko Haram.</p><br /></div>

If he has not committed any impeachable offence, why is he afraid? Interfering in the affairs of the judiciary alone is an impeachable offence; meeting with lawmakers in Government House is an impeachable offence because that is not the hallowed chamber.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>“Again, seizing our (six lawmakers) allowances, salaries and constituency projects funds is an impeachable offence. The poor handling of the monorail project is an impeachable offence.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>“He used the project to siphon Rivers money. I have the figures on the monorail project and I will give them to you later. So, if he (Amaechi) has not committed an impeachable offence, why is he afraid?”</p><br /><br/><br /><p>Bipi, however, explained that his group are not in a hurry to remove the governor from office, adding that the axe of impeachment would not pass over Amaechi’s head at the appropriate time.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>“I can proudly say that we, the responsible and law abiding members of the Rivers State House of Assembly have said it time without number that we have no such plan to impeach Governor Amaechi, even though he is guilty of so many impeachable offences.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>“We have the intention to impeach and when we do that, he will know that we are in the majority. We will impeach him when the time comes. But for now, we have no plan to impeach the governor. But he knows that he has committed a lot of impeachable offences”, Bipi added.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>In his reaction, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Otelemaba Dan-Amachree, said Amaechi was not under any threat of impeachment even as he noted that the governor had not committed any impeachable offence.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>The speaker, who made his position known through his Press Secretary, Mr. Jim Okpiki, explained that nobody would stay by the roadside and talk about the impeachment of the governor, adding that the plan of the six anti-Amaechi lawmakers would fail.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>“The issue here is that there has not been any list of impeachable offences brought before the Speaker and the House has adjourned indefinitely. You cannot just stay on the roadside and talk about impeachment.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>“Those saying the governor has committed impeachable offences should make bold their threat if they can. The truth is that there is always a new strategy to keep those causing this crisis in business. This is exactly what happened when a popular Accra-based fashion designer surprised her husband, Ernest Kofi Essah, 33 that their 3 children belonged to her ex-boyfriend who is now her lover.<br/><br /><p>Mr. Essah and his wife had been married for six years with three children who he thought were his. The first child is almost 5-years-old, the second is 3-years-old and the third child is nineteen months old.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>The shocked husband disclosed this during an interview on Asempa FM ‘s programme, “Abrabo” hosted by Maame Akua.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>According to him, his wife (name withheld) had stayed out late so he confronted her over the phone.
