This is not acceptable,” the official said.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />Besides, the oil workers said they have uncovered plans by the government to go ahead with the sale of the country’s four refineries, which has always met stiff resistance by Nigerians in recent past.<br/><br /><br/><br />For some time now, the oil workers said crude oil allocation to the refineries for local petroleum products refining have consistently reduced from 60 to 30 per cent and then to zero.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />The plan by government, the unions said, is to make the refineries appear unviable and their rehabilitation impossible as a way of making their eventual sale attractive to Nigerians.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />The unions are also protesting against alleged poor funding to the Petroleum Training Institute [PTI], which was established as the technology training institution for the country’s petroleum industry.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />via nigerianeye</div><br /></div>

In his stead, one Falla was sworn in. This action is unacceptable and undemocratic. It is against the provisions of APC Constitution.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“Article 21 (11) of the constitution specifically states that anybody that tampers with delegate list, election result, nomination of party officers will be expelled and prosecuted.”<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />They also accused Orunimighe of shutting down the state’s secretariat, saying the action was taken without recourse to staff and party members.<br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/><br />“It is curious that Orunimighe locked up and took the keys of the state secretariat. <script type="text/javascript"> <script size='468x60' src='http://srvpub.com/adServe/banners?tid=22528_31474_5' type='text/javascript'></script> <script type='text/javascript'> google_ad_client = "ca-pub-6630608044863529"; google_ad_slot = "4870332095"; google_ad_width = 300; google_ad_height = 250; </script> <script src='//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js' type='text/javascript'> </script> <div xmlns='http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml'><div xmlns='http://ift.tt/lH0Osb'><br /><p><a href="http://ift.tt/1aA0PrU" rel="attachment wp-att-171277"><img alt="dana_air" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-171277" height="225" src="http://ift.tt/1aXwkqE" width="300"/> </a> </p><br /><br/><br /><p>The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, has said suspended Dana Air is free to resume flight operations.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>NCAA disclosed this in a letter to the airline, according to sources in both the airline and the agency.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>Sources said Dana may resume flight operations as early as Monday.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>The airline was suspended on 6 October last year following an air return caused by a mechanical problem on one of its aircraft.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>The incident happened only three days after an Associated Airlines plane crashed in Lagos and killed 16 people.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>Sources at NCAA said Dana was given a list of items to comply with before it is allowed back into the skies.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>Recently Dana acquired two Boeing 737-500 planes as it sought to phase out its old McDonnell Douglas aircraft that became infamous in 2012 following a plane crash that killed 163 people.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>According to sources, the planes were bought in Cairo, the Egyptian capital, and NCAA officials travelled to inspect them.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>Sources said the two planes were not brand new but not as old as the MD-83 aircraft, the only aircraft type in the fleet of Dana.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>All Dana planes are more than 20 years old and old planes need more money to maintain.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>Nigerians have accused some airlines often of cutting corners as they struggle with overwhelming financial challenges.</p><br /><br/><br /><p>The newest acquisition will bring the Dana fleet to about five planes.</p><br /><br/><br /><align><ins class='adsbygoogle' data-ad-client='ca-pub-0909255462614293' data-ad-slot='7578597399'> </ins> </align><br /><br/><br />="left"><br/><br /><br/><br /><br/> </div><br /></div>
