Former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has said that the All Progressives Congress remains prepared to bring the needed change to Nigeria.

Atiku made this remark when he visited the Government House in Port Harcourt on Saturday where he spoke with APC delegates ahead of the party’s presidential primary.

The former vice president explained that though the APC had resolved to change the country for good, he remained the most experienced aspirant among the presidential aspirants.

He added that having being vice president for eight years in a democratic government, none of the other presidential aspirants was more experienced in governance than him.

Former Head of State, Mohammadu Buhara; Leadership Newspapers publisher, Nda Isaiah; Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha; and Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwakwanso, are the other aspirants in the race.

“We are prepared to bring the needed change this nation deserves, and among APC presidential aspirants, I think I am better prepared. None of them have the experience of democratic governance. But I have served as a democratically elected Vice President for 8 years. I have better blueprint for Niger Delta,” Atiku said.

Atiku urged party’s delegates in the state to vote him, just as he expressed commitment to support the APC to achieve its desire in 2015.

The former vice president stated that he would ensure that the party maintained internal democracy and promote due process.
