Woman hospitalized after inserting potato in her va’gina for 2 weeks to avoid unwanted pregnancy

A woman was hospitalized after suffering from stomach pains, doctors in Colombia said.

The doctors were shocked to find a potato inside the woman’s privates.

The 22-year-old woman checked herself into a hospital in Honda on Wednesday, where doctors found the potato in the patient.

The young woman explained that her mother told her to put a potato into her privates as a means to prevent unwanted pregnancies.

“My mom told me that if I did not want to get pregnant, I put a potato up there, and I believed her,” she said. After leaving the potato inside for about 2 weeks, she began to experience severe pain in the lower abdomen.

The potato was removed without surgery, and there should be no lasting physical effects on the young woman, doctors said.
