Many have accused Nigerian blog queen Linda Ikeji of being a lazy blogger who got lucky, as she has being accused by people in the past of just doing a simple job of copy and paste on her blog site.
Recently an individual on Twitter with the handle @MrAyeDee informed the general public that the global tech giant Google had responded to complaints about his content being used on Linda’s blog without any form of recognition or compensation.
In actuality some posts on Linda’s blog between yesterday and today are visibly missing from her blog. Check his Tweets below.
Linda’s personal blog is currently in the top 10 sites visited in Nigeria and her income is estimated at about $900,000(N140m) annually from ads and sponsored posts, although the blogger has never released real figures.
This particular case brings into sharp perspective the very grey area of ‘news gathering’ practices of especially in Nigeria where blogs and websites recycles stories repeatedly. Read the gentleman’s tweets below:
