Superstar Toyin Aimakhu and ace filmmaker, Tunde Kelani attended the inaugural edition of the Lagos Theatre Festival - produced on behalf of the British Council by Ben Evans for BeCreative, and in partnership with Eko Hotel & Suites, BEAT FM and Classic FM.

Part theatrical experience, part real life and part city journey, the festival aims to transform the historic Freedom Park, a public space born out of the ruins of a colonial prison and reconstructed to preserve the history and cultural heritage of Nigeria with non-theatrical/ unconventional spaces, Fringe shows and Exhibitions. And also a continuation of the collaboration between Nigerian and UK theatre sectors to boost theatre practice in Lagos and Nigeria.

The beautiful event took place at the Freedom Park, Old Prison Road, Lagos Island, Lagos, from Friday 28th February – Sunday 2nd March 2014.
