On Saturday 8th March 2014 at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, Nollywood superstar actresses Funke Akindele and Mercy Aigbe were among the people honoured for their impressive contributions to the film industry, at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. Funke Akindele won 'Best Actress in a Comedy' award for her role in 'Return of Sheri Koko', while Mercy Aigbe gets 'Best Indigenous Language Movie/Series (Yoruba)' award for 'Komfo'.
