Unknown gunmen yesterday shot a Chinese worker dead in Kirim, village, Kaura Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna State, a border community with Plateau State.
Two of the Chinese workers engaged in the rehabilitation of the Jos-Kafanchan Rail line, who also sustained grave injuries were rushed to the Kafanchan General Hospital, and later taken to Abuja.
It was not clear why the two Chinese were shot, but it was learnt that unknown men came from the bush, ambushed the Chinese men who were in a trolley car supervising labourers and opened fire on them, instantly killing one. Two were left with serious injuries as they were later rushed to the Kafanchan General Hospital before being transfeed to Abuja for further medical attention.
